Verdi has become a legend around messageboards or so it seems, and yeah I've seen it thousands of times. Another intersting thing about Verdi are his thoughts on WFD, and his discussion of books/videos he's studied from, kinda funny he's gone through what most of us have studied.
Buddy Rich elevated one hand technique to a pretty lofty place that few approach, but there are those who put in enough time to achieve amazing results generally in my experience. It is stated on Art's site those clips sre candid practice clips. I guess he's saying somebody taped him with out his knowledge and was just practing. Maybe that's why it has no stage presentation to it. I'm simply saying if you put all your time into one muscle group you will be greater at that type of style. All wrist or all fingers. Verdi has his claws into everything. In the beginning of the 10 minute drum solo videos with those 3 single stroke clips, he's blazing a mile high off the drum wristing the **** out of it. Then another video he's blazing his left fingers an inch off the drum.

I like fast drummers but I don't spam it. My favorite drummer is Danny Carey but I don't post much about him. The last post I think I made was about Mangini.
